We have known Annie and Matt for a number of years and when they asked us to do their wedding photos we felt both privileged and excited. We all have a great deal in common, from our mutual love of food to our passion for travel. However our main conjoined passion was not yet realised. This is where it all started for us and essentially where the idea behind Bohemian weddings was born. The realisation of combining our photography with other things that we are passionate about seems obvious but for us it really hit home at this wedding.
Annie and Matt to us are an inspiring couple who simply do what they love and have many cool interests and hobbies. Some may say they are pretty alternative but as we are pretty alternative ourselves it’s difficult to judge!
Simply unique
When it came to their wedding we knew it would be different and boy were we in for a treat! They not only spent months of hard work creating over 100m of super cool bunting but created homemade jams in cute personalised jars and cooked / supplied all of the food and drink! From the home cooked food ranging from edible flowers to Japanese inspired BBQ dishes to the handmade flowers by the Bride’s mother and all the friends and family who not only helped set up the location the day before but were on drinks & BBQ duty throughout. Not only that they all came back the day after the wedding to tidy up!
The location was in the little village of Whipsnade with the main venue being the village hall and the ceremony taking place in an enchanting tree cathedral.
On the day of the wedding we were met with that little word most brides fear ‘RAIN’. I say most brides because Annie was more than prepared with her matching ‘Weddington’ boots, leg warmers and giant umbrella. The rain only served to make the day even more special and unique.
Vive les mariages sans prise de tête 😉
