This wedding was special. The bride Bianca grew up in a small town called Bagnoregio in the Lazio region of Italy so even though it was a foreign location for us this was not a destination wedding. If you visit it you’d completely understand why they chose to get married there, it is a lovely quintessential Italian town with old colourful buildings, narrow streets and a friendly little coffee shop.
The church where the wedding was held is in a super cute private square (well the whole town is super cute) that also houses Bianca’s primary school. The reception party was in Bianca’s mum’s beautiful garden which despite containing over 200 guests enabled the whole day to have relaxed social party vibe. Most guests including the bride and groom were barefoot after the church as did we and it was the first wedding we’ve experienced where the band consisted of the groom and his friends!
